JOGLE 3 PEAKS

It’s that time of year again to answer the question “I wonder if I can do that?”

I’ve been plotting and planning this next adventure with James from the charity Keep Me Breathing since I returned from Australia. We’d been talking about doing “something” before Australia. And I’m now so pleased to announce that “something” …

Starting Sunday 21st July 2024, I’ll run south from John O’Groats to Land’s End via the 3 peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) =
JOGLE 3 PEAKS

The three main missions for this adventure:

  • Raise £10,000+ for Keep Me Breathing

  • Set a Women’s Fastest Known Time for JOGLE3Peaks

  • Don’t die, meet people, and have as much fun as a funrunner can have running 1,000 miles in under 30 days.

A RACE WHICH IS SUPPORTING OUR RACE!

Nikki’s challenge will be raising money for Keep Me Breathing, to support our Breathing Pacemaker Project, helping us to take our work to the next stage which is to go into product testing.  We have families around the world counting on us to bring this new solution to patients with CCHS, replacing the need for a ventilator and transforming lives.

You could say both Nikki and Keep Me Breathing are in a race!  Our race is to raise sufficient funds as quickly as we can so we can complete our 5-year product-to-patient plan, designed by Cambridge University. This means we will reach our target of bringing this technical innovation to families within 5 years.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT

Donating to Nikki’s Just Giving page
We are grateful for any donations

KMB is a high impact charity. 100% of donations go directly towards discovering and developing treatments for CCHS sufferers.

FAQ’s

How fast do I run? On average about 7-8min km pace, which is very much chatting pace. Come along and have a jogchat with me.

Will I be running on Road or Trail? It depends on where I am along the route. For the most part, I’ll be running on the hard shoulder of roads, which might make it hard to run side by side, but I’d still love your company. We’ll have a spare hi-viz.

How can I donate to Keep Me Breathing? I’m glad you asked - here’s the link to our Just Giving page. Thank you :)
